Sunflower Speech, PLLC. was founded by Stephanie Borton, an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a certificate in reading and literacy. Stephanie is the founder, C.E.O. and Clinical Director of Sunflower Speech.
Sunflower Speech, PLLC. provides functional-based therapy in our Wellington clinic, at homes and in certain daycares in our community and the foundation of our company is the belief that working together with parents/caregivers and teachers is the most beneficial way to help that child grow. Collaboration with caregivers and other professionals in the child's life allow us to , answer/ask questions and model strategies that will help your child carry-over skills between sessions.

Stephanie is an ASHA-certified Speech-language Pathologist who holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida International University in Health Sciences with a subspecialty of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She obtained her Master's Degree from the University of Central Florida in Communication Sciences and Disorders with an additional certificate in reading and literacy in 2010. Stephanie recently earned the American Speech Language Hearing Award for Continuing Education (ACE). She specializes in early-intervention (birth-5) pediatrics with a variety of disorders in expressive/receptive language, articulation, phonology, fluency, apraxia, voice and feeding.
She is the owner and clinical director of Sunflower Speech.
Brittany is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist who holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in linguistics from the University of Florida and a Master of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Florida Atlantic University. She has experience serving children and adults across the lifespan with a variety of disorders including articulation/phonology disorder, acquired and childhood apraxia of speech, fluency disorder, receptive and expressive language delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and aphasia. Brittany specializes in early language development and speech sound disorders in early intervention pediatrics. She has experience in multiple settings including daycares, private practice clinics, and public schools. Her special interest areas include childhood apraxia of speech, early language development, and pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She is trained in the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) framework and gestalt language processing. She provides services for Sunflower Speech at our pediatric clinic in Wellington.
Krista is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist who holds a Bachelors of Science degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Albizu University. She has experience working in various treatment settings including Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care, Palm Beach County School District, telehealth and private practice. Krista has experience working with various disorders including articulation/phonology disorders, receptive/expressive language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, voice disorders and fluency disorders. She provides services for Sunflower Speech at Pedipec in Royal Palm Beach, Florida Autism Center, and our pediatric clinic in Wellington.
Gianna is an ASHA-certified speech language pathologist who earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University in 2021. She has experience serving patients across the lifespan with a variety of conditions, including: Autism Spectrum Disorder, articulation/phonology disorder, fluency disorder, receptive and expressive language delay, aphasia, executive functioning disorder, and language impairments associated with hearing loss. Her special interest areas include early language development, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She provides services for Sunflower Speech at our pediatric clinic in Wellington.
Noelle is an ASHA-certified Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist who holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication Science Disorders with a minor in Education, a certificate in Developmental Disabilities, and a certificate in Bilingual Assessment and Intervention from Florida State University. She obtained her Master’s Degree from the University of Central Florida in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has experience serving children and adults across the lifespan with a variety of disorders including articulation/phonology disorders, fluency disorders, receptive/expressive language delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, voice, aphasia, dementia/Alzheimer’s, and aural rehabilitation for children with hearing loss. She has experience working in various treatment setting including outpatient hospital, private practice, home health, and telehealth. Her speciality interests include early language development, receptive/expressive language delays, articulation/phonological disorders, and aural rehabilitation. She provides services at our pediatric clinic in Wellington.
Janice is a bilingual, ASHA- certified Speech- Language Pathologist who holds a Master of Science Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the Carlos Albizu University in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She graduated in 2018 and has experience serving children from infancy through school-age with a variety of disorders including articulation/phonology disorder, fluency disorder, and receptive and expressive language delay. She moved to Florida and serves as an elementary school-based SLP in addition to providing services to our early intervention and pediatric population in their natural environment and via Telehealth. She primarily provides services in West Palm Beach, Royal Palm Beach and Wellington.
Gina is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (2014) and a Master of Arts Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (2016) from the University of Central Florida. She has experience serving children and adults across the lifespan with a range of disorders including: articulation/phonology disorder, receptive and expressive language delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, dysphagia and aphasia. She had the opportunity to intern under Dr. Beckman working in the areas of oral motor/motor speech disorders, apraxia, dysarthria, feeding disorders, premature infants and NMES. Gina has vast experience in the acute care setting, collaborating with medical teams to establish optimal discharge and transition referrals. She also has experience in multiple settings including: private practice and hospitals. She currently works in a pre-k school setting working with children with varying exceptionalities. Her special interest areas include early language development, articulation/phonological impairments and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She provides services in our pediatric clinic in Wellington.
Gabriela is a certified Speech- Language Pathology Assistant who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Central Florida in 2016. She has experience working in a variety of settings including home health, daycares, elementary schools, clinics and Telehealth, serving toddlers through school-age children with a variety of disorders including articulation/phonology disorder, fluency disorder, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She primaritly services children at International Kid Zone-Royal Palm Beach, Hands on Learning Center, and O2B kids-Wellington.
Kathleen "Kati" is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist who holds a Bachelor of Science in Health, Wellness and Occupational Studies with a minor in Education from the University of New England. She holds a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of New England, 2017. She has served children and adults with a variety of disabilities in all areas of occupation, including ADLs, IADLs, play, education, school skills and social skills. Kati focuses on an interdisciplinary approach of parents, teachers, therapists, and medical professionals utilizing evidenced-based intervention techniques including components from motor learning/motor control, biomechanical and sensory integration frames of reference. She provides services in our Wellington clinic.
Blakely is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist who holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida. She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Barry University, graduating with academic honors in 2021. She has helped children and adults with a variety of diagnoses in all areas of occupation, including ADLs, IADLs, play, and social particpation. Blakely is dedicated to providing evidence-based, client-centered care, utilizing developmental, sensory integration and biomechanical frames of reference. She provides services in our Wellington clinic.
Koko is our office therapy puppy. He LOVES to be read to, play fetch, and get pampered by having the kids brush his hair and teeth. He helps aid in transitions in and out of the clinic and to brighten up the lives of the Sunflower Staff, parents and children! He is certified S.T.A.R. Puppy graduate and in-training to be a therapy dog one day! Koko is learning a communication button system, and currently knows how to push his “I need to go potty” button to let us know when he needs to do his business.
Ric is one of the friendly voices behind the phone who helps with answering and returning calls, scheduling, and the everyday day to day office tasks in the clinic. He's a father of two, and loves helping serve the kids by keeping the office running.
Colleen is the other friendly voice behind thephone who helps with answering and returning calls, scheduling, and the everyday day to day office tasks in the clinic. She is a mom of 2, who have both been through our speech and OT programs over the past 10 years.
